In the summer of 2023, following a series of wildfires that covered my city in ash, I developed a workshop on queering fire and ash. I have now presented this workshop three times, and will be presenting it again at the Dimensions of Political Ecology (DOPE) conference at The University of Kentucky in February. A past description of this workshop can be found here. The workshop will be revised before it is presented at DOPE conference.
In the future, I will create a short film based on this workshop. It will feature many of the video and audio clips I have used in the workshop. They will be brought together as a sort of "video collage."
